Reviving Legacy

Previously operated by the Government of Pakistan through the Pakistan International Development Corporation (PIDC), New Dadu Sugar Mills faced daunting challenges. Continuous production losses led to its shutdown in 1999, leaving its machinery in disrepair. However, a new chapter began in July 2008 when Omni Group acquired the mill, embarking on a journey to transform it into one of the world’s most advanced FCB plants.

Technological Advancements

One of the hallmarks of New Dadu Sugar Mills’ transformation is its embrace of cutting-edge technology. The majority of its sugar processing equipment is sourced from FCB, France, marking it as one of the few complete FCB plants globally. Key installations such as three Boiler Houses, a Power House, Process House, and a Mill House signify a commitment to operational excellence and sustainability.

Operational Excellence

With a crushing capacity of 5,000 TCD (Tons of Cane per Day), New Dadu Sugar Mills produces a range of high-quality products, including white refined sugar, molasses, bagasse, and press mud. The focus on quality is evident in its production of White Refined Sugar graded as R1, meeting stringent standards for purity and taste.

Leadership and Governance

At the helm of New Dadu Sugar Mills are visionaries and leaders such as Khawaja Abdul Ghani Majid, the Group Chief Executive Officer, and Khawaja Anver Majid, the Founder and Chairman. Their strategic direction, coupled with the expertise of directors like Khawaja Mustafa Majid, Khawaja Ali Kamal Majid, Khawaja Nimr Majid, and Khawaja Salman Younis, the Group Chief Operating Officer, has propelled the mill to new heights of success and sustainability.

Multifaceted Workforce

Central to New Dadu Sugar Mills’ success is its diverse and skilled workforce. With over 600 employees, the mill embodies a culture of inclusivity and empowerment, where talent from various backgrounds converges to drive innovation and excellence. This multifaceted workforce not only contributes to the mill’s operational efficiency but also reflects its commitment to championing diversity in the workplace.

In conclusion, New Dadu Sugar Mills, under the stewardship of Omni Group and its dynamic leadership, stands as a beacon of innovation and progress in the sugar industry.
